Rachavadee Resort Bankrut services:

Restaurant: We serve many authentic Thai dishes, as well as few international ones, in our nearly walless restaurant between the hours of 07:30 and 21:00.
Swimming Pool: Offers 2 levels, both very safe for children during the opening hours between 07:00 - 20:00.
Internet: Free WiFi is provided in the restaurant / Lobby and most of the swimming pool area between the hours of 09:00 and 21:00.
Laundry Service: one day for processing. Please ask our reception for limitations and charges.
Booking Service: Arranging your Bus or Train tickets or other service that may not be offered by the resort itself: 20 baht.
Recharging Prepay mobiles: Recharging Thai Prepay mobiles with the amount of your choice: chosen amount + 20 baht service charge.
Copy / Print / Fax Service: 20 baht per page (non-color).
Bicycles for rent: We have different sizes, colors and brands of Bicycles available to accommodate nearly all sizes and shapes of riders. Rent is 20 baht / hour or 100 baht for the entire day.
Motorcycles: This service is provided by an outside 3rd party, so please allow an hour for delivery. Rent is 350 baht per day
Transfers: Pick up from Bankrut's train station and the drop off point on the highway junction: Free of Charge. Advance notifications are require, however.
Massages: Thai massages are available in the privacy (read: air-conditioning) of your own room, as well as on the beach in the shadow of the coconut trees. Charge is 300 baht / hour and please allow 1 hour for the masseuse to arrive.

Trips and things to see or do in Ban Krut

Snorkel trips: According to many in the know, the Ban Krut / Bang Saphan / Koh Talu area is still one of the very few untouched scuba diving and snorkeling areas in the Golf of Thailand. As the Rachavadee Resort is located at an all sand beach and most of the sealife tends to be centered along areas with many corals and rocks formations, we highly recommend going on one of these snorkeltrips to discover the beauty of the underwater world. Charges for snorkeling are as follows: when driving your own car to the pier: 450 baht / person, if you require transfers: 800 baht / person. In both cases departure from the Rachavadee Resort will be around 08:00 for a 09:00 departure from the pier. The trip will last until, roughly, 13:00 and a lunchbox will be provided.
Squid Fishing: You may notice all the green and white lights that decorate the horizon at night. Those are the lights of local fisherman trying to attract their daily catch. Many of the smaller boats are actually out there to catch squid which you may find on your plate within a couple of days. However, if you want to taste the sweetness of a freshly caught squid aka cuttlefish, the best way to do that is to go squid fishing yourself. This squid fishing trip starts at 18:30 and lasts until 21:00. The charge is 300 baht per person. Contact our reception to book.
Firefly watching: The Canal (Klong in Thai) behind the Rachavadee Resort is home to many fireflies. The magical creatures can surely add to a very romantic evening, eventhough it may take some patience to actually find them. Unfortunately fireflies are extremely sensitive to changes in their environment, making it very hard to predict when we will be able to see them. However, the klong isn't far, so if our staff confirm that this is a good season to find fireflies, why not give it a shot. No charges involved if you go exploring by yourself.
Wat Tang Sai: Without any doubt one of the most impressive temples in this part of Thailand, if not the entire country. With it's 9 pagoda's is looks a lot like a Disney castle and as it's relatively new (even though the Giant buddha 500 meters below the temple complex itself is currently (early 2011) being renovated) this is a site that any photographer will need to visit. Note, however, that it's requested that you do not take pictures inside the buildings. Entrance is free, but donations are welcome and you can see the complex clearly from the Rachvadee Resort Bankrut, so riding a bike, or a motorcycle for the less active, is the easiest way to get there.
